A Short History of Bóthar
Bóthar had its origins in 1989 in the city of Limerick on the Shannon Estuary in Ireland. It began as an enterprise with the aim of sending as many dairy cows to Africa as possible in the year 1991 [read this article]
Administration Costs
Bóthar raises funds by inviting members of the public to participate on a voluntary basis in its various sponsorship schemes. It acknowledges all support it receives and provides further information where possible. [read this article]

Bóthar is part of a community of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) using livestock in development aid, Bóthar would not be able to do the wonderful work it does all over the world without the help and support of its Non for profit and Corporate partners all over the world.
